Vice-Dean at UAE University
Dr. Ali Al-Kaabi is the General Coordinator of the “UNESCO - Hamdan Bin Rashid Al-Maktoum Prize for Outstanding Practice and Performance in Enhancing the Effectiveness of Teachers”. He has chaired and participated in several committees and advisory councils among which the RSEP and the Council of Arabic Language. He is a member of the National Commission of Culture and Education, and member of the State Council ‘Information for All Program’ (IFAP) under the auspices of UNESCO.
Since 2005, he has held several faculty position at the College of Education. Between 2009 and 2015 Dr. Al-Kaabi has served as an acting Dean and Vice Dean of the College of Education and Assistant Dean for Student Affairs and Alumni Support.
Dr. Al-Kaabi’s has authored several scientific publications among them the “Factors Influencing Teacher Attrition in the UAE”, “Privatization of Education, Why?”, and “Borrowing Educational Systems”. Moreover, he has contributed to a number of conferences and seminars, locally and internationally. He has also received various professional qualifications, including: Certified Arbitrator for the European Foundation for Quality Management (EFQM) and a Certificate in Quality Management in Higher Education Institutions.
