Ali S. Al-Kaabi is the Vice-Dean at UAE University and the General Coordinator of the “UNESCO – Hamdan Bin Rashid Al-Maktoum Prize for Outstanding Practice and Performance in Enhancing the Effectiveness of Teachers”. He has chaired and participated in several committees and advisory councils, among which are the RSEP and the Council of Arabic Language. He is a member of the National Commission of Culture and Education and member of the State Council ‘Information for All Program’ (IFAP) under the auspices of UNESCO.
Al-Kaabi has held several faculty positions at the College of Education since 2005 and has served as an acting Dean and Vice Dean of the College of Education and Assistant Dean for Student Affairs and Alumni Support between 2009 and 2015.
He has authored several scientific publications among them the “Factors Influencing Teacher Attrition in the UAE”, “Privatization of Education, Why?”, and “Borrowing Educational Systems”. Moreover, he has contributed to many conferences and seminars, locally and internationally. He has also received various professional qualifications, including Certified Arbitrator for the European Foundation for Quality Management (EFQM) and a Certificate in Quality Management in Higher Education Institutions.
