Professor Motaz Khorshid is a lecturer and the Vice President of Cairo University, and the British University in Egypt. He serves, as well, as the Chief Technical Advisor for socio-economic development Planning Support systems in the United Nations and Dean and Vice Dean of the Faculty of Computers and Information of Cairo University.
He has developed several Social Accounting Matrices (SAM) and Economy-wide Models for a number of Arab Countries. His research interests’ focus on computer aided Modeling and Decision Support Systems (DSS), computer Simulation Methodology, Economy-wide Modeling and Analysis, in addition to Management of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
Professor Khorshid holds doctorates in Computer Sciences and Operations Research, in Management Sciences from Paris University, France, a master in Industrial Engineering from Cairo University and a bachelor degree in Engineering from Ain Shams University, Egypt. He has been awarded the “Academic Palm” from the government of France.
