The United Nations Development Programme’s Regional Bureau for Arab States (UNDP RBAS) and the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation (MBRF) are pleased to announce the Future Skills Academy, which aims to bridge the digital divide and empower individuals in the Arab region to acquire skills for the rapidly evolving job market shaped by technological advancements. The initiative was designed in collaboration with several partners to meet the needs of the next generation of the workforce by providing global expertise and tailored learning experiences. The Academy covers three main skill areas: Transferable Skills, Entrepreneurship Skills, and Advanced Technical Skills.
This programme is crafted with the vision to enhance market-relevant learning, broaden employment prospects, and contribute to sustainable economic growth in the Arab States. Our aim is simple: We want to empower citizens in our region, particularly those from disadvantaged and vulnerable population groups, with the skills they need to thrive in an ever-evolving global job market. Whether you're an entrepreneur, a fresh graduate, working in the public or private sector, or a student or graduate of technical and vocational education and training (TVET) programmes, or even if you're currently unemployed - this initiative is for you!
The real essence of our initiative lies not just in the provision of quality education, but in bridging the tangible gap between learning and career fulfilment. Our approach is a symphony of inclusivity, affordability, and real-world application, which has been forged through a meticulous blend of grassroots feedback and premier partnerships.
Partnered with Coursera more and led by UNDP and MBRF’s Knowledge Project, the FutureSkills4All initiative combines credibility with quality.
In the midst of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, the global labour landscape is undergoing unparalleled change, driven by technological advancements like AI and myriad global challenges. Recognizing this, our initiative seeks to keep pace with these evolutions.more We’re not just training for today, but for the dynamic decade ahead. By aligning our skills development with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), we aim to empower learners for both employment and entrepreneurship, ensuring they remain competitive, adaptable, and poised for success in a rapidly transforming world.
Beneficiaries can register for the FutureSkills4All initiative through one of two distinct methods: either by direct application or through nomination by a third-party partner agency. Under the direct application method, learners can apply to the initiative on their own, without a nomination from a partner agency. This approach offers a more open and inclusive enrolment process, catering to a wide variety of individuals seeking skill development opportunities. On the other hand, the nomination method involves learners being identified and nominated by partner agencies. These agencies could be government departments, non-profit organizations, industry associations, or other affiliated entities. The aim is to utilize the expertise and networks of these partner agencies to reach specific groups who might greatly benefit from the initiative and to address particular human capital requirements.
